Oakwood Court is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Metashape Architects were appointed across all RIBA Stages to design six apartments within the ground floor of an existing 10-storey apartment block, replacing redundant office and porter areas.
We carried out feasibility studies, a planning application, and Stage 4 technical design. Following tender interviews, we were novated to the main contractor. Both quality and cost were meticulously managed, with exploratory surveys conducted early in the process to inform design decisions.
The existing Crittall windows and doors were retained, with secondary glazing added to meet acoustic and thermal performance requirements. The project was successfully completed in 2024.
