Metashape were appointed at RIBA Stage 4 to produce technical design and construction packages for refurbishment of three existing student accommodation buildings at the University of Portsmouth. The project is located at Langstone Student Village on the edge of Langstone Harbour, and will provide self-catered student accommodation with shared kitchen and dining facilities. Metashape worked closely with the main contractor, consultant team and sub-contractors, which included a leading role on coordination of design information to meet the necessary Building Control compliance and to ensure that the new student accommodation were fit for purpose and provided best value for the client.
